About Us
The Dorset Game Larder was started in October 2007 as a diversification enterprise from our main farming business, buying all types of game from local Dorset Shoots as well as utilising our own. The game is then plucked or butchered and packed and sold through local farm shops, independent butchers, pubs and restaurants.
We supply a variety of Quality Game & Game Products, dependent on seasonality. A small amount is also sold retail from our small shop at Crab Farm (DT11 9JL) and some is returned dressed to our local shoots.
We recently expanded into making our own sausage rolls and game wellingtons as well as our burgers and sausages that we sell from our catering trailer. See list of events.
Please ring or email to order now the game season is over as the shop will only be open on a Tuesday & Wednesday 8am – 5pm. But ordered items can be collected at any time suitable for the customer.

About our Game
To our customers we say “If you are looking for something different to serve to the family or friends then why not try Game? Nothing is more natural or has more flavour”.
We can offer things as simple as quail eggs, sausages or burgers to fillets of venison or wild rabbit.
Trade orders are packaged and delivered in the local area.
Dorset Food & Drink
We are full members of Dorset Food and Drink and use their logo on many of our products. Our pheasants and partridges come from a small number of local quality shoots. The venison is all wild and is supplied by a local team of highly experienced stalkers. Rabbits, squirrels and pigeons all come from local Dorset farms
We are always looking for extra supplies of rabbits and pigeons with good prices paid please phone or email for latest prices offered.
Taste of the West Product Awards 2023
We are pleased to announce that at the recently released Taste of the West Awards 2023 we won GOLD Medals for both the products that we entered this year namely Pheasant Breast Ballantine’s and our Boned and Stuffed Pheasant.
This was the first time we have entered the awards
Since 2018 when we won Gold for our Wild Game Burgers and in 2016 when we won Gold for our Breakfast Sausages and Silver awards for our Pheasant & Cranberry Sausages and our Venison & Red Wine Sausages. The only times we have entered the awards previously.
